Nestled in Chhota Udaipur district of Gujarat state of India, Chhota Udaipur is a city offering an ideal weekend getaway option to the residents of Ahmedabad. It shares a history with Devgadh Baria and Rajpipla and was amongst the three princely states of eastern Gujarat. Sits on the edge of a big lake with a series of temples, the small town lies in the heart of a tribal area with rich indigenous culture and history. The place is best to explore many tribal villages, especially in the Rathwa communities. Also, one can walk along the Tribal Museum and Haat (tribal market) taking place every Sunday.

In the morning, we will drive to Chhota Udaipur. On arrival, transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Chhota Udaipur share closeness to various hamlets of Rathwas, Bhils, Bhilalas and other tribes. The tribal folks can be spotted in colourful attires and chunky traditional jewellery. A trip to the tribal village and hamlets gives an insight of traditional lifestyle, architecture and handicrafts of each sindigenous community.
After breakfast, we will proceed for a full day tribal tour to Chhota Udaipur. We will be visiting the tribal villages of Kol, Kharakwada, Timla and Devhat in the morning. Further, we will visit the tribal museum of Chhota Udaipur and a couple of more villages of tribal to see PITHORA wall paintings in their houses in the afternoon. In the evening, we will explore the Tribal Market called “HATT” (a mobile market) taking places at different villages. Pithora paintings, figures, pottery, terracotta Langoti wearing and bamboo basket weaving are some of the main attractions of the place.

After breakfast, we will drive to Ahmedabad. En-route, we will be visiting Champaner fort of Pawagadh, which was built by the Sultan of Ahmedabad Mehmud Begadha in 15th century. We will also be exploring Nagina and Jami mosques, which are the most stunning specimen of Indo-Saracenic architecture. On arrival at Ahmedabad, we will drop you at your desired location
